What to expect

As an Apprentice Electrician for Goodridge Electrical Contractors, you will carry out first and second fix, testing and inspection and also maintenance at a variety of locations, working in schools, hospitals and factories as well as on domestic and commercial works. Because we cover a wide area and service clients with specialist demands, you’ll need to be flexible with your working hours, comfortable working either alone or as a team and occasionally working away from home. You will attend college one day a week in years 1 to 3, with year 4 being all on site. We use JTL as our training provider and you will be required to attend college in Worcester.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

• Work in an organised and efficient manner.
• Comply with all auditable systems and procedures, in a timely and professional manner, in order to maintain company certification and accreditation.
• Maximise individual and team performance through self-development, knowledge sharing, flexibility and a positive approach to work.
• Work safely at all times whilst delivering excellent levels of housekeeping to sustain a safe working environment.
• Remain focussed on quality and value in the eyes of our customers to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for apprentices who are willing to learn, demonstrate dedication to complete their apprenticeship, and role model our values and behaviours. Some of our minimum requirements:

• Driving licence.
• Essential: Maths & English grade A to C / 4 to 9 or equivalent.
• An eagerness to learn and develop in an engineering role.
• Excellent timekeeping, punctuality and organisational skills.
